Elena Cohen Imach was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her first book of poetry, The Belly of the Fish, was published in February 2000 and was featured at the International Book Fair in Buenos Aires in April of that year.. She has been working on her second book during the last three years. The international competition, “Letras de Oro”, of the Honorarte Foundation included her poem “Cronos” among its finalists in 2001. Ms. Cohen Imach received her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Buenos Aires in 1977, and a postgraduate Certificate in Psychoanalysis in 1980. She works as psychologist and mediator in her private practice, and is professor of Mediation in postgraduate Forensic Psychology. She also works at the City Ombudsman’s Mediation Center. Ms. Cohen Imach has written about twenty essays on subjects related to her professional training, some of which have been presented at International Conferences, and some have been published in specialized magazines. |
