Liesl Jobson is a Johannesburg musician and teacher. Her writing appears/is forthcoming in South African journals Chimurenga, Botsotso, New Coin, Carapace, New Contrast, Kotaz, Fidelities and Green Dragon. Internationally she has been published in Bonfire, Aesthetica, Brittle Star, The Journal (UK), lichen (Canada), Mississippi Review, Tough Times Companion, The Christian Communicator, Red Wheelbarrow, edifice WRECKED, SmokeLong Quarterly, Oasis and Ink Pot (USA). She was the focus poet for Timbila 2005 and The Hiss Quarterly. Her poetry is showcased online at Southern Rain Poetry. She won the POWA Women's Writing Poetry Prize in 2005 and was a finalist in the HSBC/SA PEN Award 2005. She writes a quarterly column at Moondance and edits poetry at Mad Hatters' Review.
