Prof. Ernesto Kahan. Israeli - Argentine. Medical doctor, university professor and poet. Vice President of the World Academy of Arts and Culture (under the auspices of UNESCO). Professor at universities in Argentina, Israel, Peru, Dominican Rep., Mexico, USA and Spain. Author of more than one hundred publications (Books and articles). Poems of his book Paxaporte" were translated to 9 languages. Compiler of the Anthology "Los Escritores del Alba", Editorial Certeza, Spain. Selected for the 7th, 8th 9th, 10th and 11th ed. of the book "Nueva Poes’a hispanoamericana" of Lord Byr˜n editors, a publication in which the most noticeable exponents of our contemporary poetry in Spanish are included. Vice President of the International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace (IFLAC). In 1991 was awarded with the Schweitzer Peace Award Òfor his courageous work for peace in the Middle EastÓ, in 1996 appointed ÒPeace Ambassador of the Youth of UruguayÓ, In 2002 was honored with the ÒRector's MedalÓ of University of Chile ÒFor Dr Kahan distinguished merits and relevant human conditionsÓ. In 2002 received the Honorary Degree of Doctor in Literature. Awarded "Excellency in Health person of the year 2004" by the Global Organization for Excellency in Health. Vice President Elected of the XXV World Congress of Poets, Los Angeles 2005 and the XXVI World Congress of Poets Mongolia 2006. Galardonado por la Organizaci—n Global para la Excelencia en Salud con el premio a la "Excelencia en la Salud 2004", en reconocimiento a su contribuci—n a la paz mundial. Distinguido en el 2005 con la Medalla de Oro del Congreso Mundial de Poetas a su excelencia poŽtica de "imaginaci—n existencial y consideraciones espirituales plenas de inclinaciones surrealistas y exploraciones c—smicas que caracterizan a Kahan, un poeta sin paralelo" y por su contribuci—n a la hermandad de los poetas y la paz por la poes’a".
