Before he came to Canada as an interantional student in 1989, Yuan Changming used to be a university administrator and English lecturer in China, where he had published several books and a dozen journal articles on translation and the English language. Since he obtained his PhD from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996, Yuan has been working in Vancouver as a college English tutor. His poems have appeared in many literary magazines in North America, U.K. and India. Yuan is to set up a literary magazine called bQUEST (an annual publication in hard copy) and welcomes suggestions and submissions. Changming Yuan
