Kim Downs was born in Las Vegas Nevada in 1953. Growing up in San Diego California, he emigrated to Australia in 1980. Kim has had too many jobs to remember them all, but highlights include atheletics coach, tuna fisherman, builder's labourer, oil exploration, surveyor's offsider, Asian sauce maker, professional musician, novelist, poet and sculptor. Kim currently resides on an acerage property south of Brisbane, Queensland, is attempting to build a house, fight off middle-age spread, look after 4 parrots, and be a good husband to his talented wife, Liz. Current passions include guitar-playing, timber sculpting, writing, swimming, and working out in the gym.
