Jose Antonio Cangco is from the Philippine Islands. Most of his work history included ten years of service with the relocation and housing sector of the Philippine government, and another five years in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with overseas contract workers. He had finished management and acccounting, but he found time to write, particularly poems, some which were accepted or published by the Philippine Panorama, Sunday Inquirer Magazine, Women's Journal, among others here and abroad .

At present, he is engaged in a private capacity.. He has published a book of poetry, Fancy The Minstrel and Other Love Poems under the name Nonoy M. Cangco. He no longer writes poetry.
