Susan Millar DuMars is from Philadelphia, and has lived in Galway, Ireland for the past six years.  She has an MA in Writing from the University of San Francisco.  Susan edits fiction for Ainnir Publishing, and poetry for the Poets Against the War website.  She teaches creative writing, and is the co-organiser of the Over the Edge readings series in Galway.

Susan's poetry, fiction and non-fiction articles have appeared in magazines in the US, UK and Ireland.  Her poetry was featured in Anthology I: Six Women Poets, published recently by Ainnir in Ireland.  She was shortlisted for the 2004 Fish short story competition, and nominated for the 2004 Cuirt New Writing Prize.  She is engaged to the poet and critic Kevin Higgins.
