Hadi Khorsandi is a prominent contemporary Persian poet and satire writer. Since 1979, he has been the editor and writer of the satirical journal Ashgar Agha. He was the recipient of the Hellman-Hammet Award in 1995. He is one of the most outspoken Iranian artist against the current regime in Iran.


Translator Peyvand Khorsandi is a freelance sub-editor. He has worked on twenty-five publications, including The Daily Telegraph, Radio Times, and Screen International. He has also written for the Financial Times and Iranian.com. He resides in London.
