Mahasti Shahrokhi is an Iranian novelist and the winner of numerous literary prizes. Her recent work was published in Another Sea, Another Shore: Persian Stories of Migration (Interlink World Fiction). Her novel, A Shawl as Long as the Silk Road (Baran Publication, Sweden, 1999), attracted critical attention, and Cactus magazine (published in the U.S.) devoted its third publication to this novel. Many of her articles have been published in artistic and literary magazines inside and outside of the country. In addition to her literary achievements Mahasti is a journalist, and theater critic. She earned her Ph.D. in literature at the Sorbonne, France. She currently resides in Paris.
