Dawn
The open eyes of dawn
Gaze knowingly as the dance begins
The dancers have had
no rehearsal
Yet they perform flawlessly
There are those who float
Ecstatically
through the morning air
Others curl up in corners
Twisted by pain
The oblivious
ones wander
Seeing nothing at all
The jagged, rigid riders
Attempt to pierce
the veil
While those without edges
Roll smoothly toward perfection
Striving to
move without friction
As dawn continues to smile
