Manouchehr Saadat Noury was born in 1939 in Tehran, Iran. The late Iranian historian and scholar, Hossein Saadat Nouri (1906-77), was his father. His mother was the late Iranian school teacher, Saltanat Aryan (1914-78).

He holds BA degree in Journalism from Tehran University, MS degree in Human Nutrition from Columbia University (U.S.), DVM degree from Tehran University, and PhD degree in Humanity from Vanderbilt University (USA).

He started writing poetry as a teenager and has many publications in numerous international and Iranian periodicals. He is also the author of the scientific books such as "Human Nutrition", "Experimental Nutrition", and many articles published by Tehran University between 1968 and 1986. He was the founder & editor of the cultural and scientific Journal of Farm (Mazra'eh) in 1980. The Journal, which was also bilingual (Persian & English) could only survive until 1985. His recent research notes on "First Iranians", "Missing Moments", "Iranian Heroes" (Fereydun, Kaveh, Ariobarzan, Rostam Farrokhzad, and Mardavij), "Iranian Poets" (Rabi'ah Quzdari, Baba Tahir, Hatef Esfehani, Iraj Mirza, Mohammad Taghi Bahar), and some of his works in Persian and in English can be viewed on the Internet. "Wish & Hope". is the title of his Poetry Anthology, which was published in October 2004. His recent poems can be viewed in "Poetry Today by MSN".

He now lives in Montreal, Canada.
