Cristina Castello was born in Argentina. She resides in Buenos Aires, living several months every year in Paris. She is a poet and award winnig journalist.  As poet, she published her collection of poems Thirst with illustrations by Anthony Seguí.  Her next bilingual collection of poems will be published in 2008 in France.

She has been published in anthologies edited in Paris, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Chile, etc.  Her poems have accompanied photograph and drawing exhibitions and were included in magazines in Europe, particularly in France.  She has written and continues doing to do so for catalogues of art, including numerous prologues for the works of artists and other poets. She has given recitals of poetry in Argentina and in Europe.

As journalist, Cristina Castello has already published more than 3. 000 articles in the main newspapers and periodicals of Argentina as well as in Europe and Latin America. She has taught journalism on the collegiate level. In Radio and TV she created culture and poetry programs, and worked for most of the largest graphic media.

Her poems are always a commitment in favor of the dignity of life, beauty and freedom. They are translated into several languages; from the Castilian/Argentinian into the French, and also into Italian, Portuguese, and Polish.
