Melissa Andrews was born in 1980 in East London, a small coastal city in South Africa. She is currently residing in Grahamstown, a tiny town which hosts Rhodes University. She is at present doing her English Major at Rhodes, and has completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

She has written in varying degrees her whole life, but only this year, as part of a Creative Writing course, has attempted to have any work of hers published. She is a songwriter who writes both prose and poetry, and is currently writing her first novel.
