The Queen of All Seasons

I reached out my hand
And caressed her green roots.

A whisper
Danced in her veins
And her fragrant breath,
Carried my dreams
To the beginning of the universe.

Her blossomed nakedness
Under the prickly rain
Poured in me
The soothing spirit of water,
And washed away
The dust and the grime
On each page of my memories,
And washed away
The sorrowed hands
Which I had left behind
Long ago.

Oh, Mother Earth!
Your lost spring;
The queen of all seasons
Is waving her long snow-covered hair
In the breeze,
And with her roots still entwined
In the ancient green
She is smiling at the turn of the road.
