Peyman Vahabzadeh, Professor, Department of Sociology & Anthropology, Simon Fraser University, received his Ph.D. in Sociology from SFU in the summer of 2000 and recently completed his SSHRC-funded post-doctoral studies at the University of Victoria. He has published academic papers, essays, critics, fiction and poetry in English, Persian and German. His areas of interest include classical and contemporary social and political theory (especially phenomenology), political sociology, social movements, and Iranian studies.
