Batoul Nayer was born in Mashehad, Iran. She received a combined BA in Economics, Financial Sciences, Banking from the Melli University of Tehran and a Masters in Management. She furthered her knowledge in Health Sciences at the Hacettepe University in Turkey. She worked for twenty-five years as one of the top family planning experts at the Iranian Ministry of Health and taught at the Tehran University of Pasdaran and Shahid Behesti (Melli). After she left her beloved country to join her husband and children in Denmark, she continued to work as a volunteer adviser on The Paivand Radio Station in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In addition to her professional life, her love of poetry resulted in her writing more than 1000 poems in Persian. Her poems are at present being translated into English by Sheema Kalbasi and Roger Humes.
