to practice...the promise of peace

the other day
i was remembering
the promise i made
to the great children of peace
and realized how hard it is
to practice the promise of peace

i promise to take care of you
learn with you the languages of understanding
provide you with the foods of growth and balance
shelter you in the house of openness and knowledge
dress you with the fabric of hard work and appreciation

i am human
i will make mistakes become arrogant, angry, jealous...
i hope to learn from my mistakes
to be an example of constant learning
to nurture you oh great child of peace
