How do I express my feelings and my experiences?
Through Poetry.
How do I express an other’s  pain and misery?
Through Poetry.
And what is Poetry?
An art,
because life, love, pain and joy are expressed
and at times, it is formal with fixed rhythms,
rhymes and complete literary schemes,
formality for formality.                                             
For this reason, Poetry must be something more--
it must be the reflection of reality
of the person, of the poet, of the neighbor,
of all that is real, raw and cruel
and that which we live daily.
If not, we are poor poets trapped
in obscure sketches of the unreal
devoid of being, despite having to be
the essential expression of our actual time.

La Poesia

¿Cómo expreso mis sentimientos y mis vivencias?
Por la poesía.
¿Cómo expreso el dolor ajeno y la miseria?
Por la poesía.
¿Y qué es la poesía?
Un arte,
porque expresa la vida, el amor, el dolor, la alegría.
Y a veces, se hace formal, con endecasílabos,
rimas y complejos esquemas literarios formales,
para formales.
Por eso, la poesía debe ser algo más
que la poesía misma.
Debe ser el reflejo de lo actual,
de la persona, del poeta, del prójimo,
de toda la realidad, cruda, cruel
y que cotidianamente vivimos.
Sino, somos pobres poetas encerrados
en oscuros esquemas de irrealidades,
carentes de ser, en cuanto debemos ser,
expresión esencial de nuestro tiempo real.
