CNN and BBC.
What miracle has transformed this basic dietary need
to world headlines?
The word ‘free’
Before the words Orange Juice.
Nineties follies for nothing is ever freely given.
We pay through the nose
For all that is ‘free’.
When I asked friends and relatives to explain
On seeing the headlines: ‘Free O.J.’
They smirked and laughed outright in my face,
As they tried to explain
The Simpson case
To the child in me.
BUT
It makes more sense to me
